Overview
Scrieb is a transcription app for Mac and Windows that runs OpenAI's Whisper on your own computer. It records calls and meetings or imports audio and video, then writes transcripts with speaker labels and summaries for interviews, lectures or meetings. Everything runs on the device, so recordings are never uploaded. Export to Word, PDF, TXT or Markdown with speaker names. Built for lawyers, therapists, doctors, journalists and researchers whose recordings should not leave their computer. Optional database encryption and an offline mode for subscribers. Runs on Apple Silicon and Intel Macs and Windows 10/11, including ARM64.
